I don't know why some in our society try to eliminate God/Christ from our public lives, whether in school or politics. Perhaps they are afraid of the truth. I personally support prayer in school and public expression of faith. It is our constitutional right.
The Indiana legislature has just approved a law removing the name of Jesus Christ from the opening prayer for it's sessions. I plan to protest this action and ask that the law be rewritten to allow whom ever prays to pray in a manner consistant with thier faith.
I do not understand why my children can not believe the way they want to believe in school. My son is taught to listen to athority and follow the rules and he does, but if he wants to read his bible or talk about god he can't because he might offend somebody in school. What if my son is offended that he can't have free speech about what he wants to talk abount in school? Adults never consider what the children might think. Have you asked your children? I believe god is real and I can see him every day.
